HUNDREDS of families turned out in the heat to enjoy the Ruislip Manor Summer Fun Day on Saturday.
Dragging themselves away from a weekend of Wimbledon finals, mums, dads, grandparents and excited children flocked to Victoria Road, Ruislip Manor, to take part in the fun.
Fairground rides, face painting, dancing with Jimmy the JAMtots bear and the chance to get snapped taking a ride in the Caped Crusader's Batmobile, there was plenty for children of all ages to enjoy at the annual event.
A stage set up in Linden Avenue gave local musicians, singing groups and cheerleaders the chance to showcase their talent, and provided a platform to get people up and moving with Jazzercise and Zumba lessons, despite the scorching temperatures.
Adults cooled off with a glass of Pimms and children were treated to ice cream and candy floss. The successful Summer Fun Day organised by Ruislip Manor Chamber of Commerce saw local traders and charity groups set up shop along the pavements and raise lots of money during the day.
The Ruislip Manor Fun Day will return on November 9 to mark the switching on of the Christmas lights along the high street.
