The Victoria Line on the London Underground is experiencing severe delays after a faulty train at Highbury & Islington.
The initial delays caused confusions as rush hour commuters were unaware why regular service had been affected.

Victoria Line returning to normal
There are now just minor delays on the Victoria Line after an earlier faulty train at Highbury and Islington.
Severe delays on the Central Line
There are now sever delays on the central line due to a faulty train at Stratford.
Packed stations
Photos posted on twitter show the extent of the congestion inside stations as severe delays persist on the Victoria line.
M4 traffic
There appears to be heavy traffic on the M4 eastbound, between the junction for the M25 and Junction 4 for the Heathrow Spur and Uxbridge.

Delays of up to 30 minutes on the A40
Our traffic system, Inrix, predicts delays to motorists of around 10 minutes after lance closures on the A40.
Here’s what it says in full:
One lane closed and queueing traffic due to accident, a car involved on A40 Western Avenue Westbound between B467 Swakeleys Road (Swakeleys Roundabout) and A4020 Oxford Road / A412 Denham Road / Denham Court Drive / M40 (Denham Roundabout), congestion on A40 Western Avenue to A4180 West End Road (Polish War Memorial). Travel time is around 30 minutes.
Reports of issues at Victoria
People have tweeted to say that the District and Circle Lines are also not operating properly at Victoria Station.

West Cross Route lane closure
Lane 2 has been closed on West Cross Route as you approach Northern Roundabout due to an accident.
Traffic on the A40
One lane is blocked on the A40 Westbound near Ickenham.
Traffic is building up between the Denham Roundabout and Polish War Memorial.
No information
Several twitter users reported hearing no information as they waited on platforms for their regular service.
The Victoria Line has been upgraded to have a train every 90 seconds, on average, at peak times.
More misery for commuters
Two of the busiest stations on the line, Oxford Circus and Victoria, have become exit and interchange only to deal with the rush hour crowd.
How long will it take to clear up?
It is not yet clear how long it will take for the delays to clear or the faulty train to be dealt with.
