A FLEET of vehicles has been seized and will be sold at auction unless the owner settles thousands of pounds in outstanding debts.
The parking swervices team alerted police officers to 10 vans stationed in Brassie Avenue, Acton, and registered to the same company.
The owners had racked up thousand of pounds in unpaid parking fines and neighbours were fed up with the eyesore.
A team swooped on the street in the early hours of Monday, 20 October and if the money is not paid within 10 days the vehicles will be sold at public auction. Two of them had each been issued 20 penalty charge notices for offences in the borough, with costs mounting up to more than £3,000.
Community services leader, Councillor Phil Taylor, said: "These vehicles were also a blight on the local area and we had received numerous complaints from the community."
