A nurse who gave the wrong vaccines to 13 children has been suspended.
Susan Goddard, an agency professional, is alleged to have made the blunders in August 2008 at the Ashchurch Medical Centre in Askew Road, Shepherd's Bush and the Lilyville Surgery in Fulham Road,
She was suspended at an initial hearing in July this year for 18 months but was given a further 12 month suspension starting from January 7 to allow the Nursing and Midwifery Council to arrange a full hearing.
The body's fitness and practice manager, Elizabeth Forbes, argued the extension was necessary 'for the protection of members of the public'.
A statement written by the body to London's High Court said Ms Goddard 'had administered the wrong vaccines and failed to properly record the vaccines administered'.
There are also allegations relating to cervical smears carried out by Ms Goddard.
Mr Justice Wilkie agreed to the additional 12-month interim suspension.
