BUSINESSES and homes in the Uxbridge area have been affected by a power cut this afternoon.
Electricity went out at around 1.30pm after a fault on the main network.
Electricity suppliers Southern Electric apologised for the outage and said it was working to repair the fault.
It said the majority of properties could expect to have power restored in the next two to three hours, although for those in the immediate area of the fault it may take longer.
A string of shops were forced to close because of the disruption, although many did not lose power at all.
Power began to return at about 3.15pm
