CONCERNS are growing for a elderly man who went missing from Uxbridge in this week's snowstorms.

Police have issued an appeal for his whereabouts after he disappeared from his home in St Johns Close at midday on Monday.

Gerald Anthony Lamoureux, 65, has been missing since telling his wife that he was going out for a walk in the snow and failed to come back.

His family and police are particularly worried for his wellbeing, as he has suffered from depression in the last year.

He often walks around the canal towpath near Rockingham Road, Uxbridge but it is possible he may have travelled to the Datchet area in Berkshire.

He is described as white, approximately 5'10" with grey balding hair.

PC Devon Taylor said: "We are concened for the welfare of Gerald. His family wants to hear from him.

"The current cold weather conditions could also make him very vulnerable. I ask that if anyone has seen him or has any information as to where he may be to contact police as quickly as possible."

Anyone with any information is urged to call Hillingdon Police on 02082461447 or 07748467867.
