FIVE teenagers have been bailed over a bus crash which has left a teenager in a coma.

A 15-year-old boy, believed to be a pupil at The Heathland School, was in collision with a 117 bus in Staines Road, Hounslow, on Saturday, at about 7pm.

He suffered serious head injuries and was taken to St Mary's Hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

Eight teenagers were arrested at the scene and DS Suj Khera, of Hounslow CID, today said five were still under investigation. All five have been bailed to return for police questioning.

He added that the bus driver had stopped at the scene - outside fried chicken shop Fernando's, near the corner of Wellington Road North - and was not among those arrested.

Anyone with information is asked to call DS Khera on 020 8247 6273.
