Two people were referred to A&E after a free blood testing session organised by the Rotary Club of Southall and Rotary Club of Hanwell & Northfields at the NHS walk-in centre, in Southall, on April 17.

A total of 221 people were tested and 17 were also referred to their GP.

Umesh Sharma, founder president of the Rotary Club of Southall said: "This was a great opportunity for the Rotary Club of Southall to provide hands on support in the local community, and maybe even save a life or two."

The two Rotary clubs were supported by five healthcare professionals and two NHS professionals. The event was sponsored by Ali Ahmed, chief executive officer of Montag Real Estate.
