Two people have been rushed to hospital following a car crash on Syon Lane in Brentford.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) treated two people; one patient was taken as priority to St George's Hospital and the other to West Middlesex Hospital.

The road traffic collision involved two cars and has led to Syon Lane being partially blocked with traffic piling up between Macfarlane Lane junction and the Grant Way junction.

A LAS spokeswoman said: "We were called at 2.32pm to reports of a car on car road traffic collision in Syon Lane.

"We sent three ambulance crews to the scene and treated two patients.

"One patient was taken to St George's Hospital as priority and the other to West Middlesex Hospital."

The gender and ages of the injured patients is unknown.

We are waiting to hear back from the police.
