TWO people from Northwood are among a group of six charged with human trafficking.

Shashi Kala Obhrai, 53, an optician, and Balram Kumar Obhrai, 58, described by police as a computer entrepreneur, are accused of trafficking within the UK for exploitation and threats to kill.

Shashi Obhrai also faces a further charge of actual bodily harm.

Aleemuddin Mohammed, 44, of Harrow, Shamina Yousuf, 42, of Edgware, Shanaz Begum, 56 and Enkarta Balapovi, 53, both of St John’s Wood, are also charged in connection with the case, which relates to an alleged victim of human trafficking, sexual assaults and actual bodily harm from Hyderabad, India.

All six suspects are on bail and due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court June 7.
