TWO people from the borough have been charged with conspiracy to burgle regarding their alleged involvement in a high-performance car burglary racket.

They are allegedly part of a gang of five - three men and two women - arrested in dawn raids across Hillingdon and neighbouring Harrow last Wednesday morning. They appeared at Uxbridge Magistrate's Court last Thursday.

Craig Foskett, 25, of Knoll Crescent, Northwood, Danielle Costello, 20, of Balmoral Drive, Hayes, Lewis Nevard, 21, of Greenway, Pinner, Ben Lordan, 21, also of Greenway, Pinner, all unemployed, and Laura Potter, 27, of Lyndhurst Avenue, Pinner, a hairdresser, have all been charged.

The three men have all been remanded in custody and will appear at Isleworth Crown Court in February 2010 at a date yet to be set, while the two women have applied for bail, which is to be considered soon.

The arrests were the result of an investigation into an organised criminal network targeting top-of-the-range vehicles in north London and the Home Counties.

Dozens of cars including BMWs, Audis and Jaguars are alleged to have been spirited away by the network after they obtained the car keys by first burgling the houses of the owners.

Other property was also stolen from the same premises, including cash, jewellery, laptops and credit cards.
