AN ASPIRING TV presenter from Southall has been handpicked to take part in a media boot camp to help her find her dream job.
Marissa Forrester was chosen by the charity Media Trust, which picks promising young Londoners and shows them the ropes in forging a career in TV, radio and other media.
The 24-year-old, who lives off King Street, said: “It’s brilliant and I’m very, very excited to be part of it. I’ve already learned so much, from operating cameras to editing footage and presenting.”
Miss Forrester would like to become a TV presenter and will be given a host of opportunities through the scheme, which runs until March.
Based in Shepherd’s Bush, she will produce content for BBC Radio London and The Voice newspaper as well as a feature on community satellite television.
