MOCK The Week presenter Dara O'Briain hosted a pub quiz to raise money for a Chiswick children's charity last week.

Trustees of the Tommy Hollis Children's Fund, named after the toddler who was killed by a falling lamppost in Chiswick earlier this year, welcomed more than 60 guests to the event at The Barley Mow on Wednesday.

The evening raised just under £3,000.

Tommy's father Chris Hollis said: "It was an absolutely raving success. Dara is an extremely funny chap but very giving and unassuming too. Every penny raised will go to our three local charities, Whizz Kids, REACT and Hounslow toy library for children with disabilities."

Chiswick butchers Mackins, and The Bread Shop, donated sausages and buns for the evening and Convivial Pubs waived the usual hire charge for the hostelry.

The company also allowed the charity to use The Crown and Anchor in Chiswick High Road on Wednesday night for a 'Tommy Tucker Night', where guests were entertained with a raffle and fed with a £5 meal, created with ingredients all donated by local suppliers.
