TV CHEF Richard Fox showed shoppers in Hounslow how to transform their leftovers into tasty treats last Thursday (November 24).
He whipped up some simple but delicious dishes outside Holy Trinity Church, in the High Street, as part of a roadshow designed to help slash the amount of food we throw away.
Hounslow Council, which helped organise the Love Food Hate Waste event, spent £1,433,060 last year disposing of food thrown in rubbish bins.
As well as live cookery displays, last Thursday's event included a Q&A and a live cook-off between members of the public.
The roadshow was organised as part of European Week for Waste Reduction, to help people save up to £50 a month by reducing the amount of food they bin.
