Tube users are being warned to expect travel disruption this week if a two-day strike planned by rail unions goes ahead from Tuesday night to Thursday.

Transport for London (TfL) has announced it will run only a limited service during the 48-hour walkout being staged by the TSSA and RMT union members in protest over the company's proposal to shut ticket offices and make redundancies.

The industrial action starts at 9.30pm on Tuesday and ends at 9.30pm on Thursday.TfL's planned emergency services for Wednesday and Thursday would operate between 7am and 11pm only. London Overground and other rail services will be running as normal as will buses and river bus services, where there will also be some extra services operating.
