A PERVERT who terrorised women and girls at Tube stations in Harrow and Brent was jailed for 19 months on Monday.

Ion Rechesan, 32, harrassed his victims while they waited on platforms or sat in empty train carriages.

The Romanian, who lived in the Northwick Park area, attacked four victims waiting at stations on the Metropolitan and Jubilee Lines.

On Boxing Day last year he approached a group of schoolgirls at Queensbury Station calling them prostitutes and English pigs before spitting on them and threatening to stab them.

Another victim was chased through the interconnecting doors of a train as Rechesan tried to grab her, Southwark Crown Court heard.

Rechesan, who came to the UK just a few months earlier, attacked his first victim on November 11 last year at Northwick Park Station. She was sitting alone when he sneaked up on the woman from behind, grabbed her by the neck and forced his mouth on hers.

His next attack took place at Wembley Park Station, when he followed a woman on to the train and chased her through connecting doors trying to grab her bottom.

On the same day he offered an Oriental woman £100 for sex before rubbing her thigh and calling her a Chinese prostitute, the court was told.

The victim ran off the train and tried to get help but Rechesan was waiting for her at the ticket barriers and tapped her on the shoulder with a 12in carving fork.

He was finally arrested and DNA taken from his first victim linked him to the other attacks.

Judge Deborah Taylor told him: "You appeared to find it amusing and clearly enjoyed what you were doing - in fact the CCTV images show you laughing and smiling."

His name was added to the sex offenders register but he cannot be deported because he is from an EU country.
