TWO men are in hospital after both being struck by trains on the Piccadilly line within the past 24 hours.

Hammersmith tube station was closed last night (7) after a 26-year-old man was hit at by an eastbound train at 7.30pm. 

Medics attended the scene and took the Rayners Lane resident to St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, where he remains in a stable condition.

Another man was hit by a train at Earl's Court station this afternoon (8) at around 2.40pm and his injuries are life-threatening.

Both incidents are believed to be non-suspicious.  

Earl's Court station has reopened but the Piccadilly line is experiencing minor deays.
