A 52-year-old man was given CPR treatment in front of tube passengers this morning after going into cardiac arrest.

He fell ill on a northbound Hammersmith and City line train at Wood Lane at about 8.35. Paramedics rushed to the train, which was cancelled, and began resuscitating the man, before he was taken to Hammersmith Hospital by ambulance. He was alive when he reached the hospital but further updates on his condition are not available.

The line was suspended until 9.10am.
