I READ your article about Jeremy Banks (reference as above). He has my sympathy as I have experienced the same problem.

It is bad enough waiting on a fine day but can you imagine having to wait around on some of the days we have had lately?

I can understand about the staffing constraints, referred to by David McVittie, as on one occasion there were only two people taking blood, and one of those had to go back to one of the wards.

I do not, however, understand patients not being able to wait in an unsupervised area. Does he think that all his equipment will be purloined?

I am glad this unwarranted situation has been revealed and hope it will result in something more satisfactory being worked out.
