A candle-lit vigil was held for murdered teenager Simmone Hedges last night.

Flowers and messages were left near the spot in The Larches, off Long Lane, Hillingdon, where Simmone, 19, known to friends as Minnie, was found at 2am last Friday.

Graffiti in tribute to the Glaxo Smith Kline employee was also daubed on a nearby wall.

One message from Simmone's aunt read: "My little darling. I love you more than words can say. Forever in my heart, miss you baby."

Another said: "I didn't believe it when I found out and I still can't now."

Simmone, of Brampton Road, Hillingdon, was discovered in the middle of the road by a passer-by with serious injuries believed to have been caused by a car.

She was taken to Hillingdon Hospital and later transferred to the Royal Free in Hampstead but died in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
