IT IS in your hands to make two town centres better places to live and work.

Hillingdon Council is encouraging people living in Ruislip Manor and Northwood Hills to have their say on improvement work which will start next spring.

Easing traffic congestion, installing better parking and improving safety are some of the issues included in the public consultation which follows a similar exercise in Hayes – part of the wider work to improve all of the borough's town centres.

The consultation in Ruislip Manor began on Monday and will run until December 3.

The consultation period for Northwood Hills will begin later this month.

Councillor Douglas Mills, cabinet member for improvement, said: “We have already been working closely with residents and traders on the improvements we have been making so far but it’s important for people to continue to share their views with us.

“We want Ruislip Manor and Northwood Hills to be seen as a great place to live in, work or visit.”
