An early morning accident caused traffic chaos in west London this morning (Monday) after police closed the Hammersmith flyover.
Two men were injured when their car hit a lamppost just after 3am, near the junction of Talgarth Road and Gliddon Road in West Kensington.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene of the accident on the A4, which remains partly closed.
A 23-year-old passenger was taken to hospital in a serious condition, but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. The driver did not need hospital treatment.
A police spokeswoman said the flyover and eastbound A4 at Talgarth Road remain closed while investigations are ongoing.
No arrests were made.
