BUSINESS leaders got together after a long day of work to wind down, get some fresh air and raise some money for a great cause.
The South Harrow Traders Association played a game of cricket on Wednesday last week at Roxeth Recreation Ground and raised £280 for St Luke’s Hospice in a collection afterwards.
Shahram Irvani, who runs Alexandra Park Estate Agents on Northolt Road, South Harrow, alongside colleagues Ricky and Mukhal, organised the event with his fellow traders.
“It was a fantastic event,” Mr Irvani said. “We thought it was a really good idea because it is the summer time, the weather is lovely and it is about time we got together after work.”
The association formed in August 2011 and has gone from strength to strength ever since.
Mr Irvani added: “It has been great for the community, bringing people together and representing ourselves as a group with the council.”
