An Isleworth businessman has been made Boris Johnson's transport supremo.

The new London Mayor this week unveiled Kulveer Ranger, of Ashley Drive, as director for transport policy.

The 33-year-old is vice-chairman of the Conservative Party and ran for the Tories in Syon in 2006.

Born in Hammersmith, he studied at Kingston Business School before being put in charge of introducing the Oystercard in 2003.
