POPULAR restaurants are signing up to be part of the Harrow Food and Dance Festival.

Friends in Pinner and Incanto in Harrow on the Hill are two of the latest to get involved and will be serving up delectable edibles in Harrow town centre on Saturday, March 17.

Chef patron of Friends, Terry Farr, said: “It’s a great thing for Harrow and a great idea. There is such a mixture of cultures in Harrow, I think it will be really interesting to see how that works. All my customers are very excited about it.”

The chef will host a demonstration in a pop-up kitchen and is considering having a stall.

St Ann’s Road will be filled with local food producers, a continental market, street food and a demonstration kitchen, offering a flavour of Harrow’s diverse cuisine.

There will also be dance performances from 19 acts on an open-air stage from 11am to 5pm.

Councillor Keith Ferry, portfolio holder for planning and economic development at Harrow Council, said: “It’s fantastic news that two heavyweight restaurants will be appearing at the food and dance festival.”
