AN AA-ROSETTE winning chef helped Shepherd’s Bush youngsters learn some cookery skills this week.
Chris Wheeler, executive chef at Stoke Park Hotel, in Buckinghamshire since 2003, visited Happy Child Nursery, in Frithville Gardens, on Tuesday.
The former right-hand man to celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli starred alongside the charismatic Frenchman in ITV’s Hells Kitchen in 2005.
His cooking skills at Stoke Park have earned the hotel two prestigious AA Rosette stars and he was a special guest at the nursery as part of British Food Fortnight to pass on his expertise.
Monika Mankiewicz, nusery manager, said: “Chris was absolutely fantastic and so talented. It was a real pleasure to have him here.
“He helped us cook apple crumble which was delicious as we ate it after our lunch. It was great fun.”
