THREE people were rushed to hospital after a shooting at a warehouse rave in Colindale on Sunday (April 11).

The party to celebrate the first anniversary of club night, Grime Daily, took place in Capitol Way, Colindale, on Saturday (April 11) night.

But at just after 4am in the early hours of Sunday morning (April 12) a man opened fire with a gun in the venue.

A 23-year-old man suffered multiple gun shot wounds to his chest and buttocks and remains in hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A 21-year-old woman received an injury to her back and remains in hospital although it is unclear whether she was shot. A 24-year-old man suffered an injury to his ankle.

Police are keeping an open mind as to the motive behind the shooting.

In the club night's website it says: "For those who attended, although we are grateful that you chose to celebrate our anniversary with us, we also regret that you were exposed that environment and subsequent disaster on the night.
"Our thoughts, prayers and concerns lie with the two individuals injured, and we hope that both are able to pull through and make a full and speedy recovery.

"We would also like to make it clear that Grime Daily does not participate or endorse the violent behaviour committed by some individuals on the night. We can assure you all that this is an isolated incident, and the Grime Daily team will take every step necessary to ensure the safety of all attendees at any events we are associated with in the future."

Three men were arrested in a car at the junction of Hay Lane and Edgware Road shortly after the shooting in connection with the incident.

A 22-year-old man and two 24-year-old men have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Officers from Operation Trident , which investigates black on black gun crime, are investigating.
