I NOTICE that the Labour MP for Harrow West, Gareth Thomas, is at it again - he appears to be taking credit for other people's work in his leaflets.

First of all, he appears to be claiming credit for the Conservative council's work to obtain the funding for the building programme for local schools. I know of no recorded input or help by Mr Thomas to deliver this programme.

Perhaps he would like to state what input he had, if any? He certainly doesn't appear to have worked with the council on the matter.

He then appears to be claiming credit for the council's work on the major regeneration of the Rayners Lane Estate - which is a joint project by the council and housing association Home Group.

This is an entirely self-financing scheme over 10 years through the sale of homes. Again, perhaps he would like to state any documented input he gave to assist this programme?

His latest attempt is to appear to claim credit for the new hyper acute stroke unit at Northwick Park Hospital. I would like to point out and make it perfectly clear that the person who ran the campaign to get this important unit was his Conservative opponent, Dr Rachel Joyce.

Again, I ask him to state what input he personally gave to help deliver this unit for Northwick Park?

Gareth did, however, pledge in his election literature in 2005 that he had obtained £305million to get Northwick Park rebuilt. Unfortunately, he hasn't delivered on this commitment. Perhaps that is why he appears to be taking credit for other people's work?
