Protestors have reoccupied the Bridge Road sports ground in a last-ditch attempt to stop  the controversial Wembley Academy being built.
Members of the Wembley Park Action group started pitching tents on the site yesterday (Sunday) and plan to stay until they are evicted by the council.
Builders are due to start putting up a number of temporary classrooms this week, so the academy's primary school can open in September, but the latest show of defiance is set to delay the council's plans.
Hank Roberts, who is leading the protests, said: "The builders are intending to move on to the site this week so that's why we are here.
"It is a physical attempt to stop them and to highlight that the council has broken every promise it made regarding the academy."
"We are planning on staying until we win or are evicted."
Demonstrators originally set up camp on the recreation ground in March last year and stayed there for six months.
Last week the local authority gave tenants on the site until July 23 to move out.
