A DEDICATED dancer has won a national dancing competition, and is 'overwhelmed' to be taking home a £250,0000 cash prize.

Lukas McFarlane, 19, wowed the nation and the celebrity judges going home crowed the winner of Got to Dance series four, a dancing competition show on Sky1 HD.

The final stage of the competition was aired last night. (Sunday, March 17), there were 10 finalists who battled it out for the winning title.

Lukas of Chamberlayne Road, Kensal Rise said: "I am just so overwhelmed, it's amazing to have won, I still can't believe it. I don't know what to do with all the money, I think I might fly home and see my parents and celebrate with them."

Originally from Canada, Lukas came to the UK to follow his dream of becoming a dancer and now teaches at Studio 68, in south London.

He has experience in dancing tap, ballet and commercial.

During the live final there was a string of breathtaking performances and after a tense public vote, Lukas, Ruff Diamond and Gymtasia Evolution made their way into the Final Three, the nation then awarded Lukas the title of Got to Dance champion 2013 in a public vote.
