A TEENAGER is spending the summer behind bars after being refused bail for three alleged offences.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named because of his age, was arrested last week and appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court.

He was charged with committing a robbery on July 4 in Harefield High Street, where he is alleged to have robbed a man of a Piaggio moped and helmet worth £2,800 in total.

He is also charged with grievous bodily harm in Northwood Road, Harefield, on the same day.

When he was arrested on July 11, he was allegedly in possession of cannabis, for which he was charged.

The teenager, from south Harefield, was remanded in custody until his trial, meaning he will spend the summer behind bars. He is yet to enter a plea.

He is due to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on September 21.
