A TEENAGER is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in his back.

The 15-year-old boy from Wembley was walking along Aspen Drive, Wembley, opposite the Esso petrol station in Watford Road, when he noticed a group of men loitering at the entrance to the alley.

A fight broke out and he was stabbed in his back.

He was taken to hospital where he is now recovering.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which was on Monday, at 6.10pm.

Detective Sergeant Edward Salter said: “This was a mindless act and could have had more serious consequences. Please call the police or Crimestoppers today and we can prevent this happening to someone else.”

A 17-year-old has been arrested for GBH and bailed until June 27.
