A TEENAGER has been left fighting for his life after being stabbed in broad daylight at Hammersmith Broadway bus station.

Dramatic scenes unfolded at 4.15pm when an air ambulance tried to land at the station and police cordoned off the entire area.

Paramedics were seen treating a young black boy at the scene before taking him away in an ambulance with officers confirming to the Chronicle that he had been stabbed.

Intense police activity followed with a helicopter and countless squad cars dispatched to find the attackers and the air ambulance landing on nearby Shepherd's Bush Green.

Several people were taken away by police at the scene - some for breaking through the police cordon in panic.

One eyewitness told the Chronicle: "There was a big commotion and then this lad got attacked. He looked like a schoolboy but it is hard to tell. Then everyone started running and the police were here within minutes.

"They took away some people but I think a lot of people ran."

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said they believe the victim is 14 and is enroute to hospital in a 'serious condition'. They have not made any arrests at this stage.

The bus station remains cordoned off.
