A TEENAGE girl has died after being hit by a District line train at Victoria Underground station.

British Transport Police are on the scene and trying to establish her identity. A police spokeswoman said the death was being treated as 'non-suspicious'.
The incident occurred on the westbound platform at about 10.30am this morning (April 9). The District line was suspended westbound between Earls Court and Embankment. The mainline train station and Victoria tube lines were unaffected.

A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 10.30am to reports of a someone under a train at Victoria Underground station. We sent two ambulance crews, a duty officer and the London Air Ambulance, and our hazardous response team.
