A teenager is recovering in hospital after he was stabbed in broad daylight in Hounslow on Easter Monday.

The 19-year-old male who suffered two stab wounds and is believed to be in stable condition, was attacked on Old Farm Close, off Wellington Road North, around 4.55pm on April 21.

He was taken by London air ambulance as a priority to the Royal London Hospital.

London Ambulance Service (LAS) sent a single responder by car, one ambulance crew, an ambulance officer and the London Air Ambulance.

A LAS spokesperson said: "We were called at around 4.55pm to reports of a stabbing in Old Farm Close.

"We treated a male reported to be in his teens for abdominal injuries.

"He was taken to the Royal London Hospital as a priority by helicopter."

It is believed the air ambulance landed at nearby St Mark's Catholic School.

Wellington Road North and Old Farm Close were closed in both directions and reopened at 12.30am the following morning.

A police spokesman said: On Monday 21 April at approximately 16:55hrs police were called by LAS to reports of a man who had been stabbed in Old Farm Close, TW4.

"HEMS attended and took a 19-year-old man to an east London hospital to be treated for two stab wounds. His condition has since been described as stable."

No arrests have been made and police enquiries are ongoing.
