The latest musician to join the Brentford Festival line up is teenager Joe Carabine.

The upcoming acoustic singer-songwriter of Avenue Road in Staines will be performing on one of the two stages at Blondin Park in Ealing, next month.

The 15-year-old who has also been playing the guitar since the age of six is excited to be part of this year's hand-picked acts to take to the stage on September 7.

Joe said: "I'm looking forward to hearing other musicians; seeing what I can learn from them and how they engage the audience when performing."

He has performed at a number of watering holes in the area including The Red Lion in Isleworth, The Ailsa Tavern in Twickenham, The Hobgoblin in Staines, and further afield at festivals such as Guilfest and G Live.

The teen says his inspiration are Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice and American artist Ray Lamontagne and the way they engage the audience during their performances.

Some other favourite artists of his are Leonard Cohen and Oasis.

Before stepping up to the mic at the Brentford Festival, he will take to the stage at The Troubadour coffee house in Earl's Court.

This will be the second year the festival will be held at Blondin Park in the neighbouring borough of Ealing  after a fall out over finances with Hounslow council's park contractor.
