A teenager has been arrested following a suspected gang shooting in Hounslow.
Police were called at about 1.50am yesterday (Sunday, October 12) to reports of shots being fired outside a property in Edgar Road, just south of Hounslow Heath, on the border of Hounslow and Hanworth.
A neighbour said he heard a woman call police saying shots had been fired at a 16th birthday party.
Officers believe the shooting - in which no one is reported to have been injured - followed an altercation between a group of men, who fled before police arrived at the scene.
An 18-year-old man was arrested later that day in Harlington, in connection with the incident, on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
A police spokeswoman said the man had been bailed to reappear at a west London police station in November and officers from the Met's Trident Gang Crime Command unit were investigating.
Meanwhile, police in Hounslow are hunting a burglar who threatened a woman and her young son at their home in Isleworth.
