TEAMS are needed for a football fundraiser in aid of Steven Brown, a young man battling a brain tumour who needs a life-saving operation.

Steven’s Fighting Fund was set up by the Brown family, who live in Coronation Road, Hayes, after the 25-year-old was diagnosed with a brain tumour for a second time.

The only operation available to Steven is offered at a brain institute in Los Angeles, and the family needs to raise £100,000 to pay for the trip and the procedure.

The tournament is being held at West Drayton Boys’ Club, in Cherry Lane, on November 3, from 11.30am.

Teams will be six a side, with two substitutes allowed. Entry per team is £40. Players are being urged to get people to sponsor them, and collect extra donations that way.

? Adults can watch the tournament for £1 and children for 50p – all proceeds will go to the fund.
