A hair stylist at a trendy salon in Pinner has bagged himself a nomination in a prestigious award category.

D&J Ambrose in Bridge Street, Pinner are thrilled to reveal that their artistic director, Kieran Tudor, 26, of Pinner has been nominated for Stylist of the Year in the British Hairdressing Business Awards.

The finalists have been announced after two days of judging by a panel of industry experts, manufacturers and business gurus.

The awards seek to reward and recognise individuals and salons that excel in the business of professional hairdressing.

Kieran said: “Being shortlisted for Salon Stylist of the Year is an a real honour and pays homage to what we strive for as a team at D&J Ambrose. It's great to be amongst some of the industry’s elite business minds and gain recognition in this area for the D&J Ambrose brand, which has seen growth year on year since 1996. I'm delighted and very proud to be representing the company I love."

Northern-based Kieran undertook his apprenticeship in 2004 at the Andrew Collinge salon, qualifying as a stylist in 2007. Moving to London a year later, he was qualified in cut and colour but was most inspired by precision cutting and Sassoon-style shapes and discipline, he later joined D&J Ambrose as a senior stylist and is now their artistic director.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on Monday, September 8 at The Lancaster in London.
