'IT'S crazy, it doesn't even exist any more' remarked my wife.

Let me explain. On a recent Sunday afternoon we were on the Tube, heading for Alexander Palace in North London for a recording of Songs of Praise's special 50th birthday show.

It was a long-haul, with some 23 stops on the Piccadilly line.

My wife and I could not escape the constant announcements from the guard re: Terminals 1/2/3/4 and 5 etc and reading all the large posters along the train, advertising Terminal 2.

Just one problem, unless I am missing something, the old Terminal 2 building was demolished some 18 months ago and the new terminal, not due to 'rise from the ashes' until 2014 at the earliest.

Travel, for our millions of

foreign customers, must be difficult enough, as it is, without this extra confusion.

Terminal 2, does not exist, it's as simple as that.

If your local pub was demolished would you continue to tell your drinking friends about using it?

I see, and suffer from, loads of travelling passengers, in and around the Heathrow central area, subway, Tube and bus station, asking for directions to Terminal 2.

Often it's printed on their travel tickets, documents, which again adds to the frustration, and annoyance both to travellers and us (helpful) staff.

I am not sure who is to blame for this Terminal 2 advertising, written and verbal announcements - London Underground or BAA media department.

Whatever, but with an extra five million Olympic travellers heading our way from spring next year, surely something should be done about clearing this simple problem up, and a gap left in the terminal map information with a possible 'T2 is being rebuilt announcement', to correct the situation?
