A communal gardens landscaping workshop was held at Sutton Estate to allow people to have their say on development plans.

It coincided with last week’s Chelsea Flower Show and saw tenants sit down with the landscape architects and get involved with designing the three different garden areas that are proposed for the redeveloped estate in North Kensington.

Under the new proposals, the outdoor space will be five-and-a-half times larger than what is currently available, giving tenants scope for input and ideas.

Tenant Susan Griffiths said: “I love the fact that Affinity Sutton residents will have their own exclusive garden to relax in and a totally different garden area for projects like growing fruit and veg.”

And fellow tenant Dorinda Montgomery added: "Has been lovely going to the consultations on the Community Garden and feeling like I’ve had input into this new redevelopment.”

Two sessions were held on May 19.
