THE hard work of staff and nurses at St Luke's Hospice ensure that those with terminal illness can live their last days in comfort and with dignity.

But none of the facilities they depend on and none of that hard work can be done without the funding that the charity so desperately relies on.

It is fantastic that so many appreciate the need for fundraising and are planning to carry out the hospices' Midnight Walk in June, but St Luke's can always do with more support.

For years St Luke's has been renowned for its fun-filled fundraisers and the Midnight Walk is no different.

It is in its third successful year and one hopes that more people than ever can get behind the idea and walk the nine miles for this local charity.

Many families in Harrow have had first-hand experience of the work carried out at the Kenton-based hospice and many others may have to in the future.

So get down to the leisure centre on June 11 and do your bit for a worthwhile charity that depends on your support.
