LUCKY STUDENTS from Richmond College were among the first to get a glimpse of the Olympic park last week, after winning a competition.

The youngsters were to take a sneak peak of the site and were given a tour of the areas that will form a key part of the Olympic village in 2012, including the Olympic Stadium, Aquatics Centre, Velodrome and Handball Arena.

They also learned about the environmental and community programmes running on the Olympic Park, and stopped at the Greenway, a walkway overlooking the site, to take photos of the site.

Sports teacher Hannah Ross-Tatem joined Rihanna Reynolds, Steffie Jimenez and Kenny Eshinlokun, who won a prize draw after the college joined the London 2012 Get Set Network – a group of schools from across the UK who have signed up to find out more about the Olympic and Paralympic games.
