A STUDENT from Wembley has landed his dream job as a presenter on radio station, Kiss.

AJ King, 28, of Chalkhill Road, beat thousands of hopefuls to win the competition which will see him presenting on Sunday mornings.

AJ, who began his presenting career djing on Brent based radio station Bang FM at the age of 18, said: "I'm so overwhelmed they chose me. There was so much talent in the final groups and I'm just glad all my hard work finally paid off."

The exciting eight week search saw thousands of aspiring radio presenters attend live auditions and submitting video auditions online, in the hope of becoming the new voice on Kiss.

On Monday (Feb 28), the station's crew visited AJ at his home early in the morning to break the news.

AJ, who use to be a personal banker before becoming a student at City University in London, said: "It was total shock. I was still in my boxer shorts. It was crazy. I was whisked off up to Kiss headquarters where I met everyone else. It is such a great opportunity and I'm so grateful. My family are really proud."

Kiss is a radio station that specialises in hip hop, R&B, urban and electronic dance music which attracts more than four million listeners every week.
