PATIENTS and staff at a Northwood hospital got involved in a fundraising event to held raise funds for research into breast cancer.

A 'strawberry tea party' was held at Bishops Wood Hospital last Thursday to raise funds in the campaign to help people affected by the disease.

Visitors, patients and staff at the Rickmansworth Road hospital were invited to order strawberry-themed cakes in exchange for a small donation.

Bishops Wood Hospital is part of BMI Healthcare. It is situated in the grounds of Mount Vernon Hospital and is a 41 bedded acute care unit working in partnership with the NHS.

The event raised just under £100. For more information on Breast Cancer Care or the Strawberry Tea Party, go to www.breastcancercare.org.uk
