MORE than 1,000 women will put their best foot forward tonight (June 3) to raise cash for a fabulous cause.

The second annual Ladies in the Night Walk, in aid of Michael Sobell House hospice (MSH), kicks off at 11.30pm.

Join women of all ages and abilities on a night-time stroll through Northwood, turning it into a sea of pink - the event's trademark colour.

Choose between a five-and-a-half or nine mile route, both of which start and finish at MSH, based at Mount Vernon Hospital in Rickmansworth Road, Northwood. The walk will take place on well-lit roads with marshalls and signs in place to guide the way.

Paticipants can still register online at www.ladiesinthenightwalk.co.uk or simply turn up when registration opens tonight from 9.30pm – 11pm. There will be music and exercise on the lawn to warm up before the challenge.

Entry costs £20, for which partipants will receive a walker pack complete with a t-shirt, sponsorship form, information booklet and glow in the dark novelty accessories.

There will also be a raffle tonight with signed X-Factor merchandise, two British Airways return flights to Europe, and luxury beauty products.

The hospice, based at Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood, cares for patients with life limiting illnesses. It needs to raise £1.2million every year to continue offering its vital palliative care services.
