What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is when you teach the children a skill that is challenging for them and they get it. Like in PE or D&T and you see them do it correctly each time after that. That's very rewarding.
What is the funniest thing a pupil has ever done or said to you?
I was working in a Year 2 class and it was my birthday. The children wanted to sing Happy Birthday to me. One of the children asked me how old I was so they could clap the number of my age at the end. I said I was 41 and he replied, "Oh, but I can only count as far as 30!"
If you could be invisible for the day, what would you do?
If I was invisible for a day I'd like to go around the classrooms and write funny messages to children on the Interactive Whiteboard behind the teacher's back!
What was your favourite subject at school?
My best subject was history, because I had a teacher who loved his subject.
What was your worst subject?
My worst subject was geography, because I thought it was boring and our teacher was off sick for most of the year.
What was the naughtiest thing you did when you were at school?
The naughtiest thing I did was kept going on the boys' side of the playground (boys and girls had separate areas) because I wanted to play football with them! The teachers would send me back if I got caught.
