A SPONSORED walk will be held in Bedfont this month to raise money for a Sunbury youngster's life changing operation.

A SPONSORED walk will be held in Bedfont this month to raise money for a Sunbury youngster's life changing operation.

Grace Murphy, 7, suffers from a form of cerebal palsy, and Grace Murphy's SDR fund has been set up to gather enough money for her to go to America for an operation.

The family need to raise £40,000 by July this year in order to send Grace to the US for the procedure, which is called a selective dorsal rhizotomy. It is hoped the operation will improvement the movement in her legs.

The 5k walk will take place at the Bedfont Lakes Country Park in Clockhouse Lane, on Saturday, March 12.

People are invited to meet at 10.15am to register, and the walk will begin at 11am. Organisers ask people to complete a pre-entry form by Wednesday, March 2. Email amazinggrace.5kwalk@hotmail.co.uk or call Lisa Healy on 07958 679814 for more information.
