House Gardens is set to host its Jubilee Picnic with the help of a famous brand of spiced pork meat.

Patriotic residents will hope to enjoy the ‘Spamtastic’ event on Saturday, June 2, between noon and 4pm.

Spam is sponsoring several Jubilee events across the UK and has chosen Eastcote House Gardens among them, ensuring plenty of pork-related culinary ‘treats’ will be on offer.

For vegetarians, there will be many more activities unrelated to tinned sandwich meat.

A display of classic cars, tug-of-war competition, children’s games and literary corner are sure to entertain.

There will also be the dedication, by new Mayor of Hillingdon, Councillor Michael Markham, of a Jubilee Orchard planted specially to mark the Queen’s 60th year.
