A SOUTHALL woman is desperate to find out what has happened to her dog after it disappeared this month.

Helen Whiting, who lives in Norwood Green, has spent the last couple of weeks searching for her dog Nala, a lakeland terrier-pug crossbreed.

The three-year-old family pet went missing after she was taken for a walk in the neighbourhood at around 5pm on April 11.

Mrs Whiting said: “It’s devastating. I know people might say that it’s only a dog but she really is part of the family. She was a rescue dog and had already been to two homes before she came to us and she was such a pleasure to look after.

"We had been for a walk in a field when suddenly she saw something and just took off. I do know that she has a habit of chasing people on bicycles so maybe it was that. I’ve been worried sick trying to find her. We’ve reported it to the police and tried everything we can think of and in the meantime our other dog, Vera, is absolutely heartbroken without her.

“Nala is microchipped and has a disc round her neck with her name and contact details, we just want her back safe.”

Anyone with any information on the dog’s whereabouts should call Mrs Whiting on 07803 156590.
